This week, Apple officially brought two of its newest MacBooks, namely the MacBook Air 13 (M1, 2020) and MacBook Pro 13 (M1, 2020) with the M1 System on Chip (SoC) to Indonesia. The chip-based on the 5 nanometers (nm) fabrication is claimed by Apple to increase the battery life of the two MacBook models compared to the previous generation that used Intel processors.

The MacBook Air 13 (M1, 2020) is now lined up as the thinnest and lightest laptop that can last up to 18 hours, while the MacBook Pro 13 (M1, 2020) has a slightly larger battery life of up to 20 hours. Of course, both MacBooks are equipped with a sophisticated 16-core Neural Engine.

Meanwhile, in terms of appearance, both the MacBook Air 13 (M1, 2020) and MacBook Pro 13 (M1, 2020) carry almost the same designs as their predecessors. Both have 13.3-inch screen dimensions with IPS and True Tone technology and a 2560 x 1600 pixel Retina display. The biggest differentiator is in the nit brightness with 400 nits for the Air model and 500 nits for the Pro model.
